Frequently Asked Questions
Who can create a storybook?
The current storybook creator is for adult teacher accounts. Teachers can use their own units or, when working in an eligible school workspace, school units. Parent and author accounts do not yet have this workflow.
What is included in a storybook?
Choose a reading band for ages 5–7, 8–10 or 11–13 and create a 6 or 8 page story in English. The draft includes scene descriptions and at least three comprehension questions. A cover and page illustrations are optional.
Can I edit the story before downloading it?
Yes. Edit the page text, scene descriptions and comprehension questions, then mark the story Ready. The PDF is built from that reviewed version. Later changes can become a new edition.
How much does storybook generation cost?
The manuscript costs 250 units. Each cover or page illustration, including a replacement, costs 125 units. A text-only PDF costs 250 units in total; a 6 page book with a cover and an image on every page costs 1,125 units. PDF compilation and repeat downloads have no extra unit charge.
Can I upload a child’s photo or personal details?
No. The current creator does not accept photo uploads. Use fictional character descriptions and leave out children’s private information. Teachers must confirm their rights to the inputs and review the generated book before sharing it.
